About us

Stephenie Monson is the Owner and General Contractor of Valiant Homes.

Upon first glance, Stephenie is not your stereotypical home builder. However, upon meeting with Stephenie, prospective clients and associates are impressed by her presentation, product, sincerity and what a success her company has become. They very often ask her if she would be willing to tell her story…

Stephenie’s career was not something she was looking for… it found her.

She was approached several years ago by a builder acquaintance who wanted to create a different concept for home building. He asked her to create the product, select the materials, set the pricing, sell the homes and service the clients. Though there were many ‘nay-sayers’ who told them that this company would fail, Stephenie loved new homes, design and business and was eager for the challenge. This new company flourished and while it did, Stephenie’s role in the company expanded to more than she imagined. She worked with clients and draftsmen to design floor plans that would best fit the needs of each individual family, she walked job sites to ensure her clients vision was becoming a reality, she worked closely with subs and suppliers to address any concerns and elaborate on the scope of work at hand. She also managed all punch out and warranty issues for this company for which she was employed.

That employer then eliminated Stephenie’s position as he was laid off where he had previously held a position. He started to redevelop the concept of his company to one that serviced the first time home buyer craze. He wanted to sell homes with less options and more volume. This was not what had made the company successful…but it was his company.

Clients that Stephenie had just signed on with her employer were upset by her no longer being involved in their project…so they did something about it. They encouraged Stephenie to start her own company and they would wait for her.

Valiant Homes was born.

From the beginning, Valiant Homes has always had its focus on building affordable, beautiful custom homes as individual as the families they were designed for. Stephenie has a natural ability to bring together materials that are elegant and cost conscious. Even the upper end clients that she has designed and built for greatly appreciate her ability to make their every dollar count. When building with Valiant Homes, clients can rest assured that they will be heard, respected and attended to.

Since starting the company in 2009, when she personally handled every detail herself, Stephenie has expanded her Valiant Family. She is thrilled to have Allen Harden as her Superintendent and In-House Plumber and Rachelle Aye as her personal assistant. Stephanie’s loving and supportive husband Eldon also plays a huge role in the company. Eldon owns his own established company, Monson Financial where he is the Dave Ramsey Investment ELP in the Tri-City Area…so Stephenie feels that there is no one better suited to oversee the Valiant Homes bookkeeping and accounting team than her husband. Eldon wears another hat as the listing agent for all Valiant Home properties, hanging his real estate license with Zion Properties.

With her amazing family at her side and working her dream career, Stephenie is reminded of her blessings daily.
